Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe also known as Maame Dokono has said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have abandoned her.
According to the veteran actress, she stood and campaigned for the NPP but has now been abandoned at a time she is sick.

“Too tell you frankly, when I stood behind the NPP and campaigned for them, I thought when I fell sick they would come to my aid. Apart from those who are very close, nobody has come to look for me.
“They are aware. Anyway some of them are aware and can pass the message across. At least my pastor’s wife from Royal House Chapel where I worship comes to visit me every day.”

Grace Omoboe who stood on the ticket of the NDC in Birim North Constituency in the Eastern Region as the Parliamentary Candidate in 2000 and 2004 defected to the NPP in 2008.
She was very vocal in the 2008 electioneering campaign for the ruling NPP but unfortunately, the party lost.
