Kumasi-based bodybuilder, Ahmed Boakye has been crowned champion of the 2020 edition of Ghana’s Strongest organized by TV3.
Ahmed Boakye started very poorly at the beginning of the grand finale but came back strong to accumulate 96 points to win the season nine of the competition.

The final was held at Elli Beach Resort in Tegbi near Keta in the Volta Region with four athletes Ahmed Boakye, Prosper Dakora, Godfred Akobila and Mustapha Arhin competing for the ultimate.
Ahmed Boakye started poorly but came back strong to lead the race till the end. His 17 repetitions in the 250 kilograms did the magic for him to win the competition.

He takes over the crown from Victor Ampofo who was the winner for the season 8 when Ahmed Boakye was part of the finalists alongside Godfred Akobila and Mustapha Arhin.
Ahmed Boakye took home the title berth, a Hyundai Salon car, cash prize and souvenirs from sponsors.
