President Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that the forthcoming general elections will be peaceful.
According to the President, his government will do everything possible to ensure a violence-free elections in the December polls.

He explained that, elections is about sharing of ideas and not an avenue to cause mayhem and therefore the various candidates must accept outcome of the elections to avoid mayhem in the country.
“What ever my government will have to put in place to make election 2020 peaceful will be done in Ghana, we don’t want any violence, the election is about sharing of ideas and not about mayhem” President Akufo-Addo promised in an interview on Takoradi based Skyy Power FM.

President Akufo-Addo is currently touring the Western and Central Regions to inspect, cut sod and also commission projects in the two regions.
He is expected to complete his tour within the next five days before the launching of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto.
