The Forestry Commission has gotten a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after the demise of Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John.
Mr. John Allotey is the new CEO of the Forestry Commission after a swearing-in ceremony on Monday.
Mr. Allotey was sworn to office by the Minister of Land and Natural Resources Mr. Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh at a brief ceremony at the Ministry in Accra.

Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh urged the new CEO to continue the good works of the former CEO and execute the mandate of the Commission.
Mr. Jacob Allotey has been named the new CEO of the Forestry Commission after barely two months since the demise of late CEO Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John).

Mr. Allotey was the deputy for the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie and was subsequently appointed the acting CEO after the demise of his former boss Sir John.
Sir John died on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 due to the deadly coronavirus.
