The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on former President John Mahama to apologise for describing the Akyems as “Sakawa Boys”.
Mr. Mahama is said to have shared an article written by Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo on his Facebook page, adding to the article the descriptions ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’ and ‘Grandpa’.

This by the NDC flagbearer for the 2020 elections has been described as validating the distasteful action by Isaac Adongo.
In a video sighted by Kyfilla.com, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged John Mahama to come out with an apology as soon as possible.

“We need a leader that will unite us and not a leader who will divide us. I urged Mahama to come and apologize to Ghanaians for his distasteful comment”, Bawumia said when addressing a gathering.
