The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has begun the voter register exhibition exercise today, September 18, 2020.
The eight-day exercise afford voters the opportunity to match their details against what as being captured on the register.

At a media briefing yesterday, the Electoral Commission indicated that 73,000 officials have been recruited and deployed to oversee the exercise with some as Covid-19 ambassadors.
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Madam Jean Mensa implored all voters to fully partake in the exercise for a convenient elections.

“If for nothing at all, the verification of a person’s details is important as it affords each voter the opportunity to check whether his or her name is on the register. It helps them check their details as captured on the register and gives them the opportunity to amend mistakes.”
It is believed that the register has over 16.9 million voters with over 30,000 voters delineated onto an exception list.
