Aspiring member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Charles Hagan popularly known as Panya has duly filed his nomination forms.
The astute businessman filed the nomination forms on Wednesday at the Electoral Commission’s District Office at the Sekondi Sub Metro around 4:30PM.

He was accompanied by Charlotte Otuwa Odum, Mr. David Atta-Mensah, Mr. Kweku Ansro, Mr. Kwame Peprah, Nii Martey Jhonny, Mr. Hashim Nuhu-Tanko, Mr. Wahab Mohammed and other party officials.
The Electoral Commission in September, opened nominations for parliamentary and presidential candidates, adding that the filled out forms are to to be submitted between October 5 and October 9, 2020.

According to EC Chair, Jean Mensa, Presidential candidates wishing to contest the 2020 general election are required to pay a filing fee of ¢100,000 while parliamentary candidates will pay ¢10,000.
Meanwhile, Mr. Charles Hagan will compete with incumbent MP Andrew Egyapa Mercer of the NPP fame for the seat as the representative of the Constituency in parliament.
