[ads5]The National Cyber Security Centre have denied an audio circulating on various social media platforms that a top Ghanaian government official has been arrested in the United Kingdom for money laundering.
According to the audio, a top government official of the current Akufo-Addo led administration was arrested at the UK airport traveling into the country with over £26million.[ads4]
Already the information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has denied the reportage, indicating that it is an agenda from the main opposition party, NDC to distort the hardworks of President Akufo-Addo and his administration.
In a statement, the National Cyber Security Centre have also rebuffed the reportage, stating that the audio is a computer-generated using available technologies for fictitious audio-visual creation and manipulation.[ads3]
Per the statement, this has been found after a careful forensic examination conducted on the audio by the National Cyber Security Centre.
