Pressure from Asante Kotoko supporters have forced the National Sports Authority to rescind their decision of allowing Adu Gyamfi Senior High School to host counterpart from Liberia, Worldwide High School on Saturday 28th April,2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to a press release from the Ashanti Regional Directorates of the National Sports Authority, the basis of releasing the stadium to the Kumasi based school ahead of the Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak clash on Sunday is to develop and promote all types of sports for all categories of people and institutions.
Asante Kotoko supporters earlier threatened the management of the aforesaid authorities to storm their office if the stadium is release to Adu Gyamfi Senior High School to host their international friendly ahead of the titanic clash on Sunday, 29th April, 2018.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will host arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports on Sunday 29th April,2018 in Match Day Ten of the Ghana Premier League.
Asante Kotoko currently sit 4th on the Ghana Premier League with 14 points whiles counterpart Hearts of Oak languishes 11th with 11 points.
