[ads1]The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation have announced dates for the opening of the 2020 local scholarship for Ghanaians pursuing postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
A publication on the GNPC website states that, date for the opening of the postgraduate scholarship has been set for October 19-31, 2020 while the undergraduate has been scheduled for 2nd-22nd November, 2020.
Eligibility
Per the publication, applicant must be a Ghanaian who has obtained admission to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme at any public tertiary institution.[ads2]
Teachers pursuing English and Ghanaian languages, TVET at any technical institution, nursing training colleges and Colleges of Education are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The publication also state that, persons with disabilities who would apply for the scholarship are to upload medical certificate stating the level or seriousness of the disability.[ads3]
It should be noted that, all applications are to be done online (www.gnpchghana.com) with submission of hard copies to be rejected by the leadership of the corporation.
The publication also state that, ” this facility does not apply to sandwich, part-time, private or free-paying students in public tertiary institution. Continuing students are to upload their statement of results”[ads4]
It continue that, “applicants who enjoy any form of educational scholarship should not apply. It is important that your eligibility for the scholarship award is based on accurate information.
Misrepresentation in any material form renders the application null and void . Any award made based on misrepresentation shall be withdrawn and if any investments are made based on misrepresentation, the applicant may be asked to provide a refund or may face prosecution or both”, the publication state.
Meanwhile the online interviews dates for selected postgraduate applicants has been fixed for 16th-20th November, 2020.
