Regarded as the most patronized steel manufacturing company in Africa, B5 Plus Limited was arguably the highest awarded company in Africa in the month of October, 2020.
The company and its Chief Executive Officer, Mukesh Thakwani was honoured at the Ghana Business Awards, Ghana Development Awards, Made In Ghana Awards, Business Executive Awards, Business Standard Authority Awards and host of others in the month of October.
The recognitions attest to the commitment the company has made to become the leading steel manufacturing company in the West African sub-region.
It also displays the business leadership and vision in founding B5 Plus Limited and its expansion to become a leading exporter of steel in the sub region.
Through its broad range of operations, B5 Plus Ltd has created jobs for several youth in the country thus assisting to improve standards of living and hastening the socio-economic development of Ghana.
Speaking in an interview, the Chief Executive Officer of B5 Plus Limited, Mukesh Thakwani stated that the recognitions would go a long way to boost the company to perform better than previous. He believes the company is achieving the successes due to the commitment exhibited by its workers thus dedicating to them the awards.
The astute businessman hailed the Ghanaian government for the massive interventions during the lockdown period and has pleaded with the government to make flow of water and electricity at a very competitive rates to enable the businesses to sustain themselves in this Covid-19 period.[ads2]
Mr. Mukesh was thankful to the Ghanaian society for accepting and doing business with the company since its establishment in Ghana years ago.
He added that, “Currently we have employed about 15,000 Ghanaians, we didn’t sacked anyone but employed more because the business is gradually expanding. The Covid-19 is not over yet and we [B5 Plus Limited] will continue to supply free oxygen to the various hospitals until the fight is over..”
