President Akufo-Addo has declared seven days of national mourning for former president of the republic Jerry John Rawlings.
Rawlings was announced dead in the early hours of Thursday, November 12, 2020 as earlier reported by Kyfilla.com.

In a release this afternoon, President Akufo-Addo as part of honouring the former leader of the republic has declared Friday, November 13-20, 2020 as days to mourn Rawlings.
Part of the statement reads, “I have declared that all national flags should be fly half-mast for the next seven (7) days in all part of the country and have declared seven days of national mourning from Friday, 13th November to Friday 20th November, 2020.”

Former president Jerry John Rawlings died at the age of 73.

He died few weeks after burying his mother Madam Agbotui.
In other news, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has suspended his six-day campaign tour to the Ashanti Region due to the demise of Mr. Rawlings.
