The founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has been advised to stop active politics and concentrate on the women empowerment agenda.
Mr. Fred Oduro, a political scientist and lecturer at the Institute of Local Governance advised the former first lady who has also lost her husband and former president of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.[ads2]
According to Mr. Oduro, the National Democratic Party (NDP) will make no significant impact in the forthcoming elections and it will be the best option for the former first lady to retire from active politics and concentrate on her women empowerment.
He believes Mrs. Rawlings has “the spirit to empower women” and will encourage her to focus on that.[ads3]
“The truth is that the National Democratic Party won’ t make any difference in the upcoming elections. So I want Mrs Rawlings to quit active politics and renew her women empowerment spirit,” Mr. Oduro said this when speaking on Atinka FM’s AM Drive on Tuesday.[ads5]
