The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wugon, Lydia Alhassan has retained the seat for another four years.
Hon. Alhassan who was the incumbent MP defeated NDC’s John Dumelo to win the contest.[ads2]
She pulled 39,851 votes as against Dumelo’s 37,778 and the PNC’s 160 votes.The valid votes was 77,604 and 595 rejected ballots.[ads5]
