Asante Kotoko have responded to an earlier Ghana FA letter on the relocation of their home matches to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
Asante Kotoko made a request to the Ghana FA asking for a change of venue due to the pressure on the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko earlier wrote to the Ghana FA that, the Accra Sports Stadium where they are currently staging their home matches is being used by four other premiership clubs, pushing them to play most of their home matches in the evening.[ads2]
With that, Asante Kotoko were pleading with the Ghana FA to relocate their home matches to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
But the Ghana FA responded to Asante Kotoko, asking for more explanation as to why they want to stage their home matches in Tamale.[ads3]
However, Asante Kotoko have responded to the Ghana FA, explaining further the reasons why their home matches should be relocated to Tamale, stating that it is a way of spreading the love for the local game to the other part of the regions where there is no premier league club.[ads4]
The Porcupines also stated that playing in the evening at the Accra Sports Stadium comes with a coast which is a burden on the club.
