The Ghana Armed Forces have responded to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama allegations that the military is overturning results favourable to his party.
Mr. Mahama is said to have accused the Ghana Armed Forces on December 8 that the military is involved in overturning election results against the NDC.[ads2]
But the Ghana Armed Forces have denied the allegations by the former president, stating that it is a palpable false.[ads3]
This was contained in a statement signed by the defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul explaining that the military has only been deployed to support the police and not to engage in politics.
