President Akufo-Addo has been declared winner of the 2020 general elections.
He was declared the winner by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa at a press conference few minutes ago.[ads2]
President Akufo-Addo accumulated from all the sixteen regions a total of 6,730,413 votes representing 51.5%as against John Dramani Mahama’s 6,214,889 representing 47.3%.
A total of 13,434,574 valid votes were casted throughout the sixteen regions of Ghana in 275 Constituencies.[ads3]
According to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, the results exclude that of Techiman South which will be just 128,018 votes and can’t change anything.[ads4]
This means that President Akufo-Addo who is the flagbearer of the NPP has retained the presidential seat for the next four years after winning in 2016.[ads5]
