President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame has congratulated Akufo-Addo for retaining the presidential seat in Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo was declared the winner of the 2020 Presidential elections on Wednesday by the Electoral Commission chairperson Jean Mensa.[ads2]
The NPP flagbearer accumulated 6,730,587 votes (51.3%) whiles competitor and flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama amassed 6,213,182 (47.3%).
Congratulating President Akufo-Addo, Paul Kagame tweeted that, “Congratulations to my brother and friend President Akufo Addo on your re-election. It is a testament to the trust the people of Ghana have placed in you. We look forward to continued friendship between our two nations and collaboration towards the prosperity of our people.”[ads3]
