The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has denied social media reportage that one of its officials has been arrested in Somanya in the Eastern Region.
There were reports circulating on social media that one official of the Electoral Commission has been arrested in Somanya in the Eastern Region.[ads2]
The reports state that the Electoral Commission official has been arrested for reducing about 3,000 votes of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the just ended general elections.[ads3]
A statement from the Electoral Commission has urged Ghanaians to treat the news as false and of no relevance.
