Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Jackson Owusu has rendered heart felt apology to the numerous fans of the club for the unfavorable results the club has seen recently.
Kotoko has lost two matches consecutively in the league, leaving the fans demoralized and furious. Putting himself in the shoes of the supporters of the club, midfielder Jackson Owusu has apologized to the supporters, reassuring them of making amends in their next fixture against Bechem United.
“We (the players) are equally unhappy with the current performance of the team and we are doing everything possible to turn things around come Sunday (against Bechem United) “, Jackson Owusu told FOX 97.9 FM.
Having lost at home 0-1 to Hearts of Oak and at Karela by 3-1, the supporters are pessimistic over the possibility of beating Bechem United on Sunday, but Jackson insists the players have spoken to themselves and are convinced of victory over Bechem.
“I will like to apologize to our supporters for our recent performance, we can assure you (the supporters) that we will do everything possible to win on Sunday and put an end to the loses”, Jackson assured.
Some of the fans reportedly had a confrontation with the players after the 3-1 lose at Karela, and the hard working midfielder took the opportunity to plead the fans for patience.
Kotoko is currently camped in Cape Coast ahead of their week 12 league match against Bechem United.
The Kumasi based team currently places 10th on the league table after eleven matches, having won 4, drawn 2, losing 5.
