Karela United sensational winger, William Opoku Mensah have donated drinks and souvenirs worth of cedis to former club Sekondi Eleven Wise.
The captain for the Ayinase based team, who holds a degree in Health and recreation from Cape Coast University presented the donation to the team at their training grounds yesterday.
Speaking to www.kyfilla.com after the presentation, Opoku hinted that it important to remember the starting point of once career and try to show appreciation and he’s very grateful for the platform the team gave to him to showcase his talent which has ended him in Karela United.
“Am very happy to be here again but this time not a player for Wise but a fan. This donation is something I have been planning for a very long time and I think today is a good day to show my appreciation.
“I think it’s necessary to remember where I came from and this is a token for the team”,He said.
However, Opoku urged the playing body of the 1919 club to try their best to return the team back to it glory state despite the financial hindrance in the team currently.
Sekondi Eleven Wise are currently lodging in the Division Two hoping to qualify back to the Division One and probably to the Ghana Premier League in subsequent years.
