President Akufo-Addo has said the coronavirus situation in Ghana could get very serious if efforts are not made.
According to the President, sixty-four more people have sadly died over the last two weeks, bringing the total number of death cases to 416.[ads2]
In his 23rd nationwide address on Sunday, January 31, 2021 President Akufo-Addo stated that the country’s hospitalisation rates are increasing with the number of critically and severely I’ll persons now at 172.
“In effect, fellow Ghanaians, we have a lot of work to do in the coming to grips with the disease. Given that recent show that the UK and other new variants are being transmitted within the population, we should all understand that our current situation could get very dire if efforts are not made , both on the part of the government and by you, the citizenry , to help contain the virus”, he said.[ads3]
“As at Friday, 29th January, 64 more people have,sadly died over the last two weeks, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to 416. Our hospitalisation rates are increasing, with the number of critically and severely ill persons now at 172”, he added…[ads5]
