Black Stars assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu has expressed his delight for having discovered in-form striker Emmanuel Boateng for the Black Stars of Ghana.
Emmanuel Boateng scored a historic hat-trick against FC Barcelona for UD Levante to end the Blaugrana’s unbeaten run in the Laliga Santader this season.
In an interview with Kumasi based Fox FM, coach Maxwell Konadu described the rise of the former Tema Youth youngster as “sudden and surprise” to many.
“I am very happy to have discovered him (Emmanuel Boateng) for the Black Stars and for Ghana”.
“I went to him at Levante and the club told me he is now the one of the hottest strikers in La Liga, we hope he continues with this performance so that he does same for Ghana “, he said.
Emmanuel Boateng has become the first Ghanaian player to score against both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the same season.
