Goldfields Ghana have donated a brand new and fully fitted ambulance to the University of Mines and Technology (UMat) in Tarkwa.
The donation was based on a pledge the mining company made to the University.[ads2]
The ambulance is to improve UMaT’s emergency preparedness in order to save lives, and it was donated in honor of World Health Day.
The ambulance costed US$35,500 and was funded by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation.[ads5]
