The Accra High Court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey has ordered that there should be no demonstration on “FixtheCountry ” until the ban on public gathering is lifted.
It would be recalled that some Ghanaians threatened to go on a demonstration over the difficult of living in the country with the protest labelled ‘FixTheCountry’.[ads2]
The date for the protest was scheduled for Sunday, March 9, 2021 but it will has to be postponed after restraining order against the conveners of the protest march.
Part of a statement from the Ghana Police Service reads, “The High Court, presided by Justice Ruby Aryeetey, has issued a Restraining Order against conveners of a protest march labelled in part or in whole as “FixTheCountry” from embarking on their planned demonstration slated for Sunday, 9th May 2021, or any other date until the restriction on public gathering is lifted.”[ads3]
