The National Security has sacked four officers in case involving the arrest of Citi FM journalist Caleb Kudah.
This was contained in a release from the National Security, stating that its Director of Operations Lt. Colonel Frank Agyeman has been withdrawn.
This comes after an investigations established that he was involved in the assault of CitiNews’ Caleb Kudah and has been directed to report to the Chief of Defense Staff for appropriate action Our manifesto:
Also, three other police officers who were involved in the assault of the broadcaster have also been withdrawn from the service and have been directed to report to the Ghana Police Service for appropriate punishment.
Caleb Kudah was arrested on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 for filming the premises of the National Security Ministry as he waited for someone he had gone there to visit.
He allegedly sent the videos to his female colleague who was in the office of the radio station at the time, prompting the war-style invasion of the media house by the armed police officers to effect the arrest of the female journalist.
Caleb Kudah was detained but was later released. Sharing his ordeal at the National Security Ministry when he was detained, the Citi FM broadcaster disclosed that he suffered a lot of brutalities whiles being detained.
