Popular radio show host, Captain Smart is on the verge of sealing a deal with Media General’s Onua TV, according to sources.
Per sources, Captain Smart has reached the apex of negotiations with the management of Media General and the deal is likely to be announced very soon.
Captain Smart was suspended from Accra-based Angel FM by the owner of the station Dr. Kwaku Oteng for attacking the government.
The General Manager of Angel FM in Accra, Kwadwo Dickson made this known to the public in a live programme, explaining that Captain Smart had to be suspended after several advises from the owner of the station to desist from attacking government officials.
He furthered explained that Dr. Kwaku Oteng suspended Captain Smart for insulting President Akufo-Addo, Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the Inspector General of Police and Trade Minister Allan Kyeremanteng.
Captain Smart after weeks of his suspension came out to announce his resignation from Angel FM according to a widespread reports which has facilitated a possible move to Onua TV..[ads5]
