Ahoto FM, a fast rising radio station in Takoradi, has had its sports programme ‘Kick Off Sports” nominated as the best radio sports show of the year in the Western Region.
The show, that has astute sportscaster, Stephen Kwame Yeboah as the host, has been nominated as Western and Western North Regions best sports show in this year’s edition of the prestigious Channel Awards Ghana.[ads2]
Since May 12, 2021 that the station begun airing its sports programmes, the Ahoto Kick Off Sports has become one of the most popular radio programmes in the Western region with huge listenership.
Ahoto FM will be competing with other notable radio stations both in the Western and Western North Regions for the enviable accolade at the awards night.
The Ahoto FM sports crew is made up of ace sportscaster Stephen Kwame Yeboah (HEAD), Solomon Amankwah, Thomas Sangmor (Coach Tony) and Sabastien Hayfron as the producer.[ads3]
The quartet are arguably the most sought after sports crew in the ‘Oil City’ , making the four-month old Ahoto Kick Off Sports one of the best programmes in the region.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the awards scheme have opened the door for voting process to begin with October 1, 2021 day to end the voting process.[ads4]
The awards has been scheduled for October 9, 2021 at the Accra City Mall in the nation’s capital
