Reports murmuring in the media indicate that head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, Reverend Owusu has been rushed to the hospital.
This was after an Accra High Court ruled on Monday, September 13, 2021 that he should be remanded into police custody for a period of one week.
The popular Ghanaian preacher was arrested alongside three other suspects for assaulting police officers.[ads2]
Making his first appearance before an Accra Circuit Court on Monday, the popular pastor was charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and threat of death.

The three others are Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum.
The four were arrested for the “creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, and the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some police personnel”.[ads3]
According to a statement issued by the police on Sunday, September 12, 2021, and signed by its acting Director of Public Affairs, ACOP Kwesi Ofori, Reverend Owusu Bempah and the three other suspects were arrested “after critically analyzing the said videos and based on intelligence gathered”.
They were denied bail at court today and have been put on remanded for a period of seven days. But hours after the ruling, the popular Ghanaian preacher has been rushed to the police hospital in Accra.
Reports say that he has still be cuffed while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the injured police personnel have been given medical treatment.[ads5]
