The head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, Reverend Owusu Bempah has been granted bail after being in the police custody for days.
This was after the court upheld an appeal by his lawyer, Gary Nimako Marfo, against a decision of an Accra Circuit Court not to grant him bail.
The popular Ghanaian preacher was granted bail in the sum of Ghc200,000 with two sureties.[ads2]

Making his first appearance before an Accra Circuit Court on Monday, the popular pastor was charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and threat of death.
The three others are Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum.[ads3]
The four were arrested for the “creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, and the brandishing of a weapon and the assault of some police personnel”.
According to a statement issued by the police on Sunday, September 12, 2021, and signed by its acting Director of Public Affairs, ACOP Kwesi Ofori, Reverend Owusu Bempah and the three other suspects were arrested “after critically analyzing the said videos and based on intelligence gathered”.
They were denied bail at court on September 13, 2021 and was put on remanded for a period of seven days. But hours after the ruling, the popular Ghanaian preacher has been rushed to the police hospital in Accra.[ads5]
