A final year student of the Tweneboah Koduah Senior High School at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region has died while scaling a wall.
Identified as Edward Duut, the 19-year old was reportedly escaping from a prep master, who was on routine monitoring.[ads2]
Mr Duut is said to have climbed over a wall together with other students who were also running but did not land well on the ground, sustaning injuries in the process.
He was rushed to the Kumawu Polyclinic where he was pronounced dead.
The Kumawu District Police Commander, DSP Opoku Agyemang Prempeh, who confirmed the incident said an investigation was underway but no arrest has been made so far.[ads5]
