Federation of International Football Association [FIFA] have excluded Ghana from taking part in the process of electing a country to host the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana and Kosovo were excluded in less than 24 hours from electing a country to host the 2026 World Cup, leaving 205 eligible voters out of 211 federations.
This comes after the former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi was banned 90 days by FIFA following some corruption allegations mounted against him and the country’s government trying to dissolve the association with two GFA higher ranked officials barred from travelling to attend the congress in Russia
Ghana’s exclusion has become a big blow for Morocco who are eager to host the World Cup in the aforesaid year and had even won the support of Ghana.
Meanwhile, countries like Mexico and the United States of America are competing with Morocco for the hosting right.
