Ghana and Canada have agreed to strengthen tourism ties after the leadership of the Public Private Partnership Forum Secretariat met some top opinion leaders of Canada.
The Public Private Partnership Forum Secretariat led by the Director, Isaac Asiam, met with the Counsellor (commercial) and Regional Senior Trade Commissioner, Esther Fox and the Trade Commissioner & Political Officer, Ms. Kathleen Ami Afful of the High Commission of Canada to discuss tourism trade bilateral relations, cultural exchange programme and capacity building for the private sector tourism practitioners.
The Counsellor in her submission disclose the tourism potentials of his country and timely the call for this meeting due to the tourism potentials of Canada.
This she said will foster close business to business collaborations to promote both destinations.[ads1]
The outcome of the meeting resolved the High commission to further engage with the Tourism Experts in Canada and that of the Ghana Tourism to see how best the two countries can organize the capacity building and cultural exchange programmes.
Again to discuss the opportunity with private sector tourism federations in Canada and Ghana.[ads4]
In attendance was Administrative Officer of the PPPF (GTA) Ms. Naa Otoo and Ambassador Nancy Sam from private sector tourism business.
