Ajax FC head coach, Erik Ten Hag has said he is not expecting attacker Kudus Mohammed to return to action this year.
Mohammed has sustained a rib injury and will have to be at the treatment room for the rest of the year.[ads2]
The talented attacker sustained the injury during the international break when Ghana hosted South Africa in the 2022 world cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
He picked the injury in the game and had to be replaced by Daniel Kofi Kyere by coach Milovan Rajevac.[ads3]
According to Ten Hag, after a series of scans, the rib injury appears worse than expected with a suspected fracture which will see the former FC Nordsjaelland talisman sidelined for the rest of the year.
It is known whether he will be available for the upcoming AFCON in Cameroon scheduled for January next year.[ads5]
