Representatives of the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi visited the Ghana Rugby team base ahead of the much anticipated Rugby Africa Sevens Championship.
Ghana will host seven West African countries to battle in the Rugby Africa Sevens competition which comes off at the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi on November 27 and 28, 2021.
The tournament serves as route for countries to book their places in the final qualifying round in April next year.
Ghana faces Mali, Benin and Niger in Pool A while Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and Togo slug it out in Pool B.
In the women’s category, Ghana clashes with Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo.
And Ghana determined to make it to the final qualifying round, the delegation, on behalf of the NSA Boss visited the team’s camp to motivate the players and the technical team and assured them of the authority’s support.
Present at the visitation was Acting Deputy Director General (Technical) of the NSA, Mr. Kwame Amponfi Jnr, Head of Research, Education and Training Dr. Enoch Baah.
