Black Princesses head coach Abdul Yusif Basigi had tipped the West Africa representatives in the FIFA World Cup to make the continent proud after scintillating performances in the tournament so far.
Senegal won their first group stages game against Poland and went ahead to drew 2:2 with Japan and are hoping to take over South American side Columbia in the last round of the group stages.
Nigeria on the other hand lost their first game to Croatia but won their second game encounter against Iceland and are hoping for a victory against Lionel Messi led Argentina who have only a point so far in the World Cup.
But according to the experienced gaffer, Nigeria and Senegal only needs mental toughness to whip down their opponents in the last round of the group stages to enable them qualify to the round 16 stage of the competition.
“For now only the two West African countries can qualify to the next stage and am tipping them to make the continent proud. They only need enough motivation and mental toughness to able to beat their next opponents”, he told Aseda FM in an interview.
Meanwhile countries like Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia are out of the tournament with one game to go.
