Ghanaian airline company, Goldstar Air has donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the Word of Life Church as part of efforts in the fight against the deadly coronavirus.
Goldstar Air has brought its corporate social responsiblity to the doorsteps of faith-based organizations in order to keep people safe
from the virus.
The airline company donated 25 boxes of personal protective equipment (PPEs), to the Dansoman Branch of the Word of Life Christian Church, which is led by Reverend Dr Isaac Quaye.[ads4]
Mr. John Ashong-Mettle, Cargo Manager for Goldstar Air, presented the items on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Mr. Eric Bannerman, and Reverend Benjamin Effah and Reverend Fred Morrison Nyamakye accepted the items on behalf of the church and expressed
heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Goldstar Air for the generous gesture, adding that the donated personal protective equipment will help them in their fight against the Covid-19.
Mr. John Ashong-Mettle informed the church leaders that the donation was made to assist the church in its fight against the deadly virus, and that the gesture bears eloquent testimony to the company’s commitment and zeal in the fight against the pandemic.
He also urged strict adherence to established safety rules and practices to ensure that the deadly Covid-19 pandemic is kept at bay.

to our churches are certainly deserving of our gratitude. Donations like yours make a significant difference in the work our church does in the community, and we are grateful that you have blessed us with your generosity.”[ads1]

groups on topics that benefit real people like you, thanks to your support. We can make a difference if we work together”, he added.
The presentation was witnessed by the Word of Life Church congregation and Goldstar Air officials, including Mr. Edmund Lamptey, Mr Edwin Lamptey (Cabin Crew), and other staff.
Meanwhile, as part of effort to promote Ghana to the outside world, GoldStar Air will be providing more benefits to travelers in terms of services and fares as a way of showcasing Ghanaian culture to the rest of the world, and has made adequate provisions to cater for passengers by introducing Ghanaian dishes, local movies, and announcements made in Ghanaian dialects during takeoff and landing.
The airline company’s cabin crew will also be selling Ghana-made items and promote Ghana tourism attractions as way to sell Ghana to the outside world.
To guarantee that their guests are able to take enough luggage for their own use, Goldstar Air will be giving a total of 69 kilos per passenger, three-piece baggage allowance with a hand luggage limit of not more than ten kilograms.
Passengers are encouraged to sign up for the GoldStar Air Frequent Flyer points on its “Chalewote” card when flying on their business or economy class. The card is worth more per mile.
The airline company has assured to move along with their valued passengers, which is why their spectacular Frequent Flyer card is
called “Chalewote,” meaning “Let’s Go Together” in Ghanaian local
dialect, and one can earn their loyal customers free tickets to any
destination of choice.
