A radio station in the Greater Accra Region, Radio Ada 93.3 has reportedly been vandalised by eight macho men on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
According to a statement from the station, the thugs also assaulted a presenter who was on-air at the time of the vandalisation.[ads2]
One of the thugs is said to have been armed with a pistol with the station equipment destroyed leading to the temporary close down of the station.[ads3]
Part of the statement from the management of the station says that, “the attackers openly declared that they had come to vandalise the station because of its Manor Munyu and other programmes discussing the recent developments in the Songor. They threatened to inflict further havoc should the station continue with programmes on the Songor.”
The case has been reported to the Big Ada police while the presenter who was physically assaulted was taken to the Ada East District Hospital for treatment.[ads5]
