The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has extended the deadline for members of the scheme to merge their SSNIT and NIA numbers.
The scheme has extended the deadline date for the members of the scheme to merge their numbers from December 31, 2021 to June 30, 2022.[ads2]
According to the scheme, members who are yet to register for their Ghana cards should be able to do so before the new deadline date.
“From July 1, 2022, the Ghana card will be the only identification recognised by the Trust. This is in compliance with the Regulation 7 (1) of the National Identity Register Regulations, 2012. LI 2111 which requires the use of Ghana card as identification for transaction pertaining to individuals in respect to pensions and transactions that have social security implications”, part of the statement from SSNIT reads…
