Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila has been given his favorite no. 37 jersey at Serbian Superliga side Red Star Belgrade.
The 25-year-old joined the Red and White side last week on a season-long loan deal from Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia.
He was signed as replacement for Ghanaian defender Abraham Akwasi Frimpong who recently joined Hungarian club Ferencvarosi TC.
Sumaila is expected to make his debut against Latvian side FK Spartaks Jurmula in the UEFA Champions League playoff on Wednesday.
Sumaila was a member of Ghana’s team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
