Vociferous sportscaster, Macall Mensah is close to joining Focus 1 Media subsidiary, Beach FM in Takoradi as the new station’s manager.
According to a deep source, the award-winning and versatile broadcaster has reached the conclusive stagevs of negotiations with the management of the media hub for the top role.
Macall Mensah, affectionately called “The Axeman” holds an undergraduate degree from Pentecost University where he studied Bsc Business Administration with a major in Marketing. He is also an old student of Adisadel College.

Through the years he has worked as a Sports Journalist for Melody FM for four years, before he had a short stint as a Sport Pundit with Empire Fm, and finally moving to the Global Media Alliance’s YFM in Takoradi.
He is currently the head of sports at YFM and host of the station’s entertainment show.
Macall Mensah is also the head of communications at Ghanaian club Sekondi Hasaacas.

Focus 1 Media Group are the operators of Spice FM, Beach FM, Pluzz FM and Orange FM – and is owned by astute businessman Kwame Adu Mantey.
