The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been advised to maintain a united front to be able to retain power in the 2024 general elections.
The party is determined to win the 2024 elections despite facing a threat from the opposition National Democratic Congress.
But to be able to defeat the NDC in the upcoming elections, the member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region, Kofi Amankwa-Manu has advised the party to be united and avoid internal wranglings.
Amankwa-Manu who is also a deputy Defence Minister admonished the party members during the election of constituency executives on Tuesday May 10.
“We need to look beyond the election of constituency executives, and think about the success of our party, the more reason why we need to stick together as one family. Let’s unite to retain power” he said amidst applaud from delegates.
The NPP constituency executives elections has been confronted with injunctions by some aggrieved members.
The Kumasi High Court recently dismissed an application seeking to nullify an election of polling officers in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
