The Western Regional Minister, Kobby Okyere-Darko will not be reshuffled by President Akufo-Addo says the regional communications officer of the New Patriotic Party Fuseini Issah.
This comes following a call from the regional Communications Officer of the opposition NDC, Richard Kirk Mensah, that President Akufo-Addo should sack Okyere-Darko from office if the NPP want to take the region by storm in the 2024 elections.
“It will be in the best interest of the New Patriotic Party to reshuffle their current Western Regional Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah before election 2024 because he has disintegrated peace and tranquillity in this peaceful region at the expense of social development”, Kirk Mensah said when speaking on Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM.

Responding to Kirk Mensah on same station, Fuseini Issah stated the NDC are afraid of Okyere-Darko hence every attempt to tarnish the image of the regional minister.
“Okyere-Darko is a smooth runner, a team player, very active and can very well execute a plan, that is why I think the NDC is afraid of him. Kobby is the NDC’s worse nightmare in the region now”, Issah said.
He continued that, ” We [NPP] are keeping the Western Regional Minister till 2024, even if the president decides to change him we will not agree. We will go to the president and explain to him why it is important to keep Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah in office”, he added…
