Former President, John Dramani Mahama paid a two-day visit to the Northern Region from June 18-19, 2022.
During the visit, Mr. Mahama honored a invitation to the climax of the 26th annual Quranic recitation of Sheikh Lukman Bamba as the special guest.
He was accompanied by the General Secretary of the NDC; Johnson Aseidu Nketiah, former Chief of Staff; Julius Debrah, Minority leader of parliament; Haruna Iddrisu alongside the party’s MPs in the region and some regional executives.
The 2020 NDC flagbearer also seized the opportunity to grace the induction service of newly elected NorthWest Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church.
He also called on the Chief of Kasullana at his palace in Kasulyili in the Tolon District to in the Northern Region commiserate with him for the loss of his wife.
Mahama also took time to pay a courtesy visit on the Tolon Naa and the Woribogu Lana respectively.
He rounded the visitation by commiserating with the family of the Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu over the demise of his brother.
