Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Asante Kotoko have announced the acquisition of lanky goalkeeper Frederick Asare.
The Ghana U20 goalkeeper has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal after passing a mandatory medical examination earlier this week.
Asare has joined Kotoko on a free transfer after stint with Ghana top-flight side Accra Lions.
The club’s statement reads, “We are pleased to announce the capture of Goalkeeper Frederick Asare on a three-year deal.
“Asare joins us on a free transfer following his exploits for Accra Lions last season.”
Frederick Asare has joined Asante Kotoko after explosive performance for Accra Lions in the 2021/22 league season.
The budding netminder kept 13 clean sheets in 28 matches and was one of the best goalkeepers in the domestic league.
Due to his incredible form for Accra Lions, Asare was handed a call-up to the Black Galaxies for the CHAN qualifier against Benin.
