Popular sports broadcaster, Fentuo Tahiru has announced his departure from Citi FM/TV on Sunday, August 7, 2022.[ads1]
The knowledgeable sports journalist has left the Ghanaian media conglomerate after five years of active service.
In a post on his social media page, Fentuo Tahiru announced that ’I’ll like to say thank you to @Citi973/@CitiTVGH for an amazing last 5 years. It’s been a wonderful place to learn and grow and I’m grateful for all the opportunities the platform afforded me.

Fentuo is currently in Birmingham covering the ongoing Commonwealth Games and his sudden resignation comes as a huge surprise to many particularly Citi FM/TV followers.

According to multiple reports in the local media, Fentuo Tahiru will be joining the Multimedia Group where he will team up with Gary Al-Smith, George Addo Jnr, Nathaniel Attoh and others at the sports department of Joy FM.[ads4]
Before joining Citi FM, Fentuo was Sports Editor at Ultimate FM in Kumasi, where he spearheaded the station’s coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
