The Ghana Gas Company Limited as part of its social corporate responsibility, has refurbished the deplorable assembly hall of Aburi Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region.
The assembly hall underwent a complete renovation which include polishing the terrazzo floor, installing ceiling fans, wall and ceiling lights, glass doors, office tables and chairs, and toilet seat covers.
Nana Asiaa Benneh Beyeemah I, a board member and a former Aburi Girls student, stated that the school can now boast of an ultra-modern Assembly Hall and hopes that the project will have a significant impact on the school’s teaching and learning culture.[ads4]
Nana Beyeemah I also thanked the contractor, Contoq Limited, and the school authorities for their assistance during the construction phase, and urged them to properly maintain the facility for a longer lifespan.
Mr. Aymiah Edomgbole, Assistant Manager of Community Relations, added that Ghana Gas kept its promise of completing the project within the stipulated completion time of six months and that the company will continue to conduct Corporate Social Responsibility projects in all sixteen regions of the country.
Madam Gifty Andoh, the school’s headmistress, expressed her gratitude to Ghana Gas for renovating the school’s assembly Hall and stated that she will ensure that the project is adequately maintained and kept in good condition
