The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has written to the Education Ministry seeking for the approval of teacher trainees to fend themselves effective Monday, November 7, 2022.[ads2]
This, according to PRINCOF, is as a result of the current market trends and the colleges indebtedness to its suppliers which is making it very difficult to provide three-square meals for the trainees.
“Principals of Colleges of Education have been trying really very hard to feed trainee teachers in recent times”, part of the letter signed by Dr Harriet Naki Amui, the Executive Secretary of PRINCOF, to Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum said.[ads3]
It added that failure of the Minister of Education to grant the permission could lead to disruption of the already stretched academic year.
