The Western Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Richard Kirk Mensah has endorsed John Dramani Mahama as the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 polls.[ads2]
According toi the astute communicator, the former President is the only candidate that can win power for the NDC in the 2024 elections.
Speaking at the party’s regional elections in Agona Nkwanta, Richard Kirk Mensah who went unopposed stated that the NDC is determined to win power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Mr Mahama is the right candidate to lead the party.
“Let me be the first regional executive in the country to openly endorse President Mahama. We [NDC] are ready for power and we are not going to joke and besides we don’t change a winning team”, he said…
Even though Mr Mahama is yet to officially declare his intention to contest for the party’s flagbearership position, an aspiring General Secretary of the NDC, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has said the former President stand tall to lead the leading opposition party in the 2024 elections.[ads3]
He told TV3 in an interview that interested persons in the flagbearer position of the NDC are welcomed to contest but he strongly believes that John Mahama, who was the NDC’s 2022 presidential candidate, will win and represent the party again.

“John Mahama stands tall,” he stressed.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports further added that “but one fact we can’t run away from is in 2024 whose records are we going to run on? Is it not John Mahama?”[ads4]
