The National Service Scheme (NSS) has suspended its Ashanti Regional director, Alex Opoku Mensah with immediate effect.[ads2]
Mr Opoku Mensah has been suspended for allegedly assaulting a nurse at the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi.
According to a statement from NSS, Alex Opoku Mensah has been suspended to allow further investigations into the issue.[ads3]
The statement further state that a committee comprising of representatives from the NSS, the Public Service Commission and the Ministry of Education has been set up to probe the matter and are expected to submit their report within one month.
